Hey, I'm Atakan

My high school days had a rhythm to them - between classes, you'd find me sprinting to the basketball court for those precious 10-minute breaks. Quick games with friends from all over school, then rushing back to solve problems for upcoming exams. Those brief moments of play between intense study sessions - that was my life.

In 2020, I took a path that raised some eyebrows - leaving high school after three years to focus entirely on university preparation. The exam was known to be tough, but I was determined. When exam day came, everyone agreed the questions were particularly challenging that year. I just focused on solving what I could. Ended up in the top 0.3% among 2 million candidates.

That score opened the door to Computer Engineering at Istanbul Bilgi University with a full scholarship. Finally found a place where my love for problem-solving made perfect sense. Started diving into real projects pretty quickly - turns out the intensity I learned from those study days came in handy.

These days, I'm at Orion Innovation, building this Linux Diagnostic Agent - basically a way to see what's happening in systems in real-time. It's funny how I ended up really loving CI/CD and infrastructure stuff. There's something satisfying about making systems work smoothly, kind of like finding the perfect rhythm in those quick basketball games between classes.

That same intensity that got me through the university exam? Now it shows up in how I approach everything - from regular gym sessions and keeping up with vitamins, to diving deep into technical articles on Hacker News. Always been an all-or-nothing kind of person, whether it's building efficient systems at work or taking care of myself.

I get a real kick out of staying on top of tech trends - you'll usually find me scanning through Hacker News, picking apart new technological developments. It's not just about staying current; it's about understanding where we're headed and how we can build better systems.

Looking back at that decision in 2020, it wasn't just about getting into university - it was about choosing my own path. These days, whether it's through my technical writing, my work with cloud infrastructure, or even my gym routine, I'm still walking that same path - doing things my way, with full commitment.
